This memory is essentially the canon 2/2, with the "But then you'll..." and "This isn't trivial!" dialogue selections and choosing to take Maruki's deal at the end (see this video, up until the 8:28 timestamp). Ren's demeanor throughout is shell-shocked, glassy-eyed, visibly struggling to shoulder the burden that's been placed on his shoulders and visibly failing to do so. In response, Akechi is relentless in his demands, furious, though if you know him well you can see that it conceals abject terror. When Akechi shouts, a couple of tears slip down Ren's face.
Akechi demands his answer, and Ren just stands there, reaching for the strength to do the right thing, which he's been able to find every time before. But this time it slips out of his grasp. He knows what he has to say, what he's supposed to say, but instead of saying it, he just looks bleak and exhausted.
He glances at the door through which Maruki left. Looks back at Akechi. His face crumples when he sees Akechi. At that moment, you see his strength fail. Akechi sees it, too, and his eyes widen with fear even before Ren confirms that they're taking Maruki's deal. In Akechi's face, you see not rage but heartbreak.
After he leaves, Ren collapses into a booth. He takes off his glasses and puts his head in his hands. Just as the world starts to blur around him, the memory ends.
