[ Yeah, Akechi's not fucking kidding about that. Ren wouldn't care that much, except that it would make Akechi—his Akechi—upset if something happened to him. He's even retained the memory that someone tried. ]
i would appreciate it i think sparrow would too if i could tell him abt it
[ His thumbs hover over the keypad. ]
why don't you? hold them harshly against me i mean is it really just bc maruki created the situation
[It's an excellent question. One that gives Crow pause. It's something even he's pondered since this Ren arrived.]
I've been through enough Persona and Shadow-related incidents to recognize patterns.
Beings with power taking advantage of one's feelings, whether for good or ill intent, and placing the burden of responsibility on the vulnerable or, at the very least, misleading them.
I'm also familiar enough with grief to understand that your choice was not one made lightly. You chose what you believed would save your Akechi, who likely did not see value in his life due to the severity of his crimes. Maruki likely knew he could use him as a bartering chip. Regardless of his "good intentions," he still placed the weight of the world on a teenager's shoulders.
To be frank, I think it's beyond fucked up that he would use a teenager's validation to determine the 'right' course of action.
So, while I'm not happy about Sparrow's state, particularly his Shadow, I also understand that your heart was in the right place and I believe Sparrow as he is now has a right to exist. I only wish that we could prevent him from having his 'episodes.'
[I think it's beyond fucked up that he would use a teenager's validation to determine the 'right' course of action. A full-body shudder wracks Ren's frame. He can't address that topic at all without having another breakdown, so he just skips over it. ]
he remembers them now like he doesn't remember what made him have the episode but he notices that he's had one apparently that's new?
[ Maybe that's progress. Ren wants it to be progress. ]
[Oh, well that's interesting. Certainly not something Crow expected to hear so soon, but any progress is a welcome sign.]
Yes. Usually he's unaware it's happened unless he's told.
So perhaps your presence here has sparked a change, however subtle. I'm glad to hear that he's at least gaining some awareness. I just wonder what we can do to get him to retain information regarding to Personas and the cognitive world.
i talked to a. goth haru ig who thought it could be done with psi personas she didn't want to do it herself but she said she could walk someone else through it so she knew a method? i think?
She's... I'm not sure if 'standard' Haru is the right word for it, but she did join the Phantom Thieves.
She's from a world without Maruki or Yoshizawa-san, however. She is at least familiar with both and aware of Sparrow's condition, as we have discussed it in the past.
You could always suggest that there's a way to remove the blankouts. With some outside help, it could finally help him exist without that disconnect between himself and others.
i can suggest it i thought he didn't want that though bc it would separate him from the people back home but i don't think he likes that i'm not like everyone else at home like, he can tell that i'm different here and it disturbs him i've been kind of scared to bring up the question, i don't want him to be sad
His inability to full comprehend what happens around him leads to people treating him differently and, as a result, leads to ostracization. This could be a chance for him to learn and understand. It doesn't mean he has to change back, but it can help him better comprehend his circumstances.
Because there was a time where he tried to rescue my younger self from Mikage-cho, and the mere sight of Raven's Persona rendered him motionless. One step in the wrong place is all it takes. It's how he got trapped in Tartarus as well.

You could say that Crow referred you, that you've spoken to Rose, and that you wish to help Sparrow with his memory retention.
If she's not comfortable, I do have a fairly powerful psi user, though I've admittedly never used Kohryu's power in such a capacity.

By the way, where should I deliver the Evoker? I can have that ready for you at any time, once I know the apartment.
